Hard To Find Specialty Items

Our out-of-town customers tell us that we carry some items they can't find at home, so we thought we'd share a list of popular, "specialty" items.

Quilted Thermaflec

This is the heat-resistant backing you want for potholders and oven mitts and for lining casserole covers. It is quilted with heavy cotton batting. 45" wide; $12.50 per yard

Thermaflec
without quilting

The silver backing without any batting. 45" wide; $5.75 per yard. Can be used to make ironing board covers.

Australian Magazines

Australian Patchwork & Quilting and Embroidery Magazines - current and back issues. $6.95 per issue.

Homespun Towels

New Item! We now stock homespun towels from Dunroven House in 16 different patterns. We carry various patterns in blue & tan, red & tan, green & tan and tan & cream. $3.50 each. We show several models here customized with fabric strips from various Mumm's The Word lines - great gifts! We now have the towels with a wide plaid border and solid center, allowing for machine embroidery or hand stitchery.

Borders
Made Easy

We carry the full line of Borders Made Easy, adhesive backed patterns for continuous machine quilting. Prices vary with pattern.

Doll Needles

Our favorite package of 3 needles: 3 1/2" , 5" and 7" is $3.00. The 10" Doll and Bear needle is packaged separately and is $3.75.

Natural Wool

Natural Wool for Santa Beards: The clean, washed natural wool we use for many of our Santa beards. We purchase ours from a farm in West Virginia. Approximately 2 oz of wool in a bag; enough for full beard for a medium-sized (approx. 18" ) Santa. $2.75 per package.
